Thirsty Thursday: Serving Milk to GOD

Heavenly FATHER,

I ask in JESUS name, yet with care and humility…I humbly approach YOU on behalf of the many that have yet to receive the Gospel, who needs YOU…who needs Grace. I ask and am thankful that YOU continue to equip servants to minister to them. I humbly ask and am thankful for healing of sin-sick souls. I humbly ask and am thankful for provision for those that are so impoverished that they can’t hear YOU and a heart to serve for those so well off that they think they do not need YOU. There is famine in the land. A dearth of fathers equip with YOUR Word and Wisdom to bring stability to families. There are those who need gainful employment, a plan, a dream, a hope and the wisdom and strength to accomplish; but, as we are weak, YOUR strength is made perfect. We reverently desire YOUR presence and pray to honor YOU with obedience and hospitality. We thank YOU in faith by the SPIRIT for hearing and answering in JESUS name…Amen

Thirsty Thursday: Serving Milk to GOD

Genesis 18:2-3  And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground,  (3)  And said, My Lord, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant:

And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat.  (Genesis 18:8)

This was a Theophany or Christophany. It was an appearance of GOD in human form…GOD and two angels came to visit Abraham in a form he could more readily serve, receive and communicate with…as men…

Abraham was not only reverent, he was hospitable to GOD. He ran to meet HIM, he bowed prostrate and asked HIM to remain in his presence. He didn’t stop there. He offered a comfortable place in the shade. He offered his best and stood, while HE ate. Remember there was no refrigerator, so everything was prepared from scratch…that’s hospitality!

Are you running to meet HIM?
Are you bowing before HIM?
Are you asking for favor in faith and reverence?
Are you hiding from HIM or asking HIM not to leave?
Are you offering your best, from scratch?

HE is ever present so…We always show HIM how we really feel about HIM. It sounds like work. It’s not. It’s humble thankful reverent worship…
